The Central government will provide 20,000 crore rupees to promote infrastructural development and research to the educational sector. This was stated by Human Resource Development Minister, Prakash Javadekar in Kolkata . In a programme organised by the Indian chamber of Commerce, he said, the Center has undertaken plans to extend more autonomy and empower the renowned academic institutions of the country for research and innovation potential. He said, his government is committed to stop brain drain of research scholars and turn it into ‘brain gain. Mr Javadekar said the Center is also planning to set up a national academic depository to stop fake certificates.
